Cardinals Winter League Notebook 10-24-12

Arizona Fall League


Colin Walsh (Quad Cities-Surprise) started in right field and batted leadoff.  0-for-5 with two strikeouts.
Kolten Wong (Springfield-Surprise) started at second base and batted second.  3-for-5 with three two-out RBIs and one run.
Seth Blair (Palm Beach-Surprise) started and pitched three innings.  He allowed three hits, one unearned run,  two walks, and struck five out. (p-s:55-36)(g/f:4-0)
Sam Freeman (St. Louis-Surprise) entered in the eighth and pitched one inning.  He allowed one hit, no runs, struck one out, and picked one runner off. (p-s:20-12)

Sam Freeman (St. Louis-Surprise) was told to be ready just in case the team needed him in October and Colin Walsh (Quad Cities-Surprise) was moved from the taxi-squad to everyday roster: STL Today
