Cardinals Winter League Notebook 2-8-13

Caribbean Series Championship


Dennys Reyes (former St. Louis-Obregon) entered in the tenth and pitched to one batter.  He allowed no hits or runs. (p-s:4-2)(ir-s:2-0)

Julio Lugo (former St. Louis-Escogido) entered late in the game as a pinch hitter and batted ninth.  0-for-1 at the plate.

Caribbean Series


Luis Mateo (Quad Cities-Caguas) started at shortstop and batted ninth.  1-for-4 with one RBI, one strikeout, and assisted in two double plays.

Joe Thurston (former St. Louis-Magallanes) started in left field and batted sixth.  0-for-3 with one ground into double play.
