Cardinals Winter League Notebook 2-5-18: Nestor Molina Strikes Out Four & Allows Two Runs Over Five & A Third Innings For The Win; Ivan Maldonado Picks One Runner Off Over Three Scoreless Innings; Rafael Ortega Hits A Solo Home Run



Caribbean Series:

Anthony Garcia (former Memphis-Caguas) started in right field and batted third.  1-for-5 at the plate.
Ivan Maldonado (former MiLB tryout-Caguas) entered in the second and pitched three innings.  He allowed four hits, no runs, one walk, assisted in one double play, and picked one runner off.  (p-s:33-17)(g/f:3-3)(ir-s:3-2)
Tyler Herron (former Springfield-Caguas) entered in the seventh and pitched 1.2 innings.  He allowed two hits, one earned run, one walk, and struck three out.  (p-s:30-21)(g/f:1-1)

Rafael Ortega (former Memphis-Caribes) started in centerfield and batted leadoff.  1-for-5 with one home run, one RBI, and one run.
Nestor Molina (MiLB signing-Caribes) started and pitched 5.1 innings.  He allowed five hits, two earned runs, one walk, and struck four out for the winning decision (1-0).  (p-s:75-50)(g/f:9-1)
