Cardinals Winter League Notebook 12-10-15: Ildemaro Vargas Singles, Doubles, Triples, Walks, & Drives In Two Runs; Jhohan Acevedo Singles, Doubles, & Knocks In One Run; Jose Martinez Collects Two Hits & One RBI



Venezuelan League:

Ildemaro Vargas (former Palm Beach-Lara) started at second base and batted second.  3-for-5 with one double, one triple, two RBIs, one run, one walk, one caught stealing, and assisted in one double play.
Richard Castillo (former Memphis-Lara) entered in the eighth and pitched to three batters.  He allowed one hit, two earned runs, and one walk.  (p-s:8-4)(g/f:1-0)

Eliezer Alfonzo (former Peoria-Margarita) started as designated hitter and batted fourth.  1-for-4 with one strikeout and was ejected in the eighth inning.
