Cardinals Winter League Notebook 12-5-15: Fidencio Flores Strikes Out Two & Allows One Run Over Six Innings; Felipe Lopez Singles, Doubles, & Drives In Two Runs; Anthony Garcia Singles & Knocks In One Run



Venezuelan League:

Ronny Cedeno (former MLB signing-Magallanes) started at shortstop and batted third.  1-for-4 with one RBI, one run, and one fielding error.
Jose Martinez (former Springfield-Magallanes) started at second base and batted sixth.  0-for-4 at the plate.


Eliezer Alfonzo (former Peoria-Margarita) started as designated hitter and batted second.  0-for-4 with one strikeout.
Breyvic Valera (Springfield-Margarita) started in right field and moved to third base and batted fifth.  Three walks, one caught stealing, and assisted in one double play.

Jeremy Hazelbaker (Memphis free agent-Caribes) started in left field and batted fifth.  2-for-4 with one double, one run, and grounded into one double play.


Eduardo Sanchez (former St. Louis-Aragua) entered in the ninth and pitched one inning.  He allowed no hits or runs, and one walk.  (p-s:11-6)(g/f:1-0)

Ildemaro Vargas (former Palm Beach-Lara) started at second base and batted second.  0-for-4 with one strikeout and assisted in three double plays.
