Cardinals Winter League Notebook 12-27-14: Breyvic Valera Singles, Doubles, & Drives In Two Runs; Carlos Martinez & Nick Greenwood Scheduled To Start In Dominican Playoffs; Amaury Cazana Singles, Doubles, & Knocks In One Run



Venezuelan League

Breyvic Valera (Springfield-Margarita) started in centerfield and batted leadoff.  2-for-5 with one double, two RBIs, and one outfield assist.
David Peralta (former Johnson City-Margarita) started 1-for-5 with one strikeout and one outfield assist.
Eliezer Alfonso (former Peoria-Margarita) started at first base and batted sixth.  2-for-5 and one fielding error.

Jose Martinez (former Springfield-Aragua) started at second base and batted fourth.  1-for-5 with one RBI and one run.
Jorge Rondon (former St. Louis-Aragua) entered in the sixth and pitched one inning.  He allowed two hits, no runs, and struck one out.  (g/f:2-0)
