Cardinals Winter League Notebook 1-7-14: Robinson Cancel Named Carolina Manager; Ronny Cedeno Doubles Twice & Drives In Four Runs; Luis Garcia Hits A Solo Homer & Walks Twice

St. Louis claimed outfielder Rafael Ortega off waivers from Texas on Monday.  He played 42 games during the regular winter league season with La Guaira.  Ortega went 24-for-100 (.240) with five doubles, three RBIs, 29 total bases, 19 runs, nine walks, two stolen bases, 15 strikeouts, two caught stealing, .315 OBP, .290 SLG, and .605 OPS.
